Wallpaper care
In order to gently and easily remove dirt from the wallpaper, we recommend applying Pufas wallpaper protection (here in our shop) after wallpapering.
In the case of wallpaper that cannot be washed off, you should consider whether it makes sense to treat dirt, because there is a risk of rubbing off the surface if you apply too much pressure. The cleaning of a wallpaper depends on the type of material. Textile or metal wallpapers are not washable; these can be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner and a soft brush.
In most cases, vinyl wallpaper can also be dabbed off or carefully wiped off with a lint-free, damp cloth. Pay attention to the properties of the respective wallpaper (to be found on the insert of the wallpaper roll), such as the abrasion resistance.
However, some techniques are suitable for all but the most delicate wallpapers. Slightly soiled areas on the walls can be cleaned with a soft, non-staining eraser. Dry or moistened white bread rolled into a ball also serves the same purpose. This usually only pays off with very fine wallpaper. An old and well-known method is cleaning with warmed wheat bran on a soft, lint-free cloth.
