Changing the kid´s room´s design - from baby to child to teenager

We observe the growth of our children on a daily basis – especially in the nursery this can be seen quickly! Before you know it, your child has had anouther growth spurt and needs a new jacket or new shoes. In the same way that kids outgrow their clothing, they can also outgrow the design of their bedroom.

Whether boy or girl – the design of the children´s bedroom moves with the times just as the children do. The colour scheme of the room, for example, may be a classic pink or blue at first, but in no time your child´s taste can change into something completely different.

To let their fantasy run free, kids need stories, that also can be transferred directly into their bedroom by choosing a fitting wallpaper. The bedroom of a child is not only a place to experience adventures, but a place to relax and unwind as well. Give your kid the chance to have a safe space that corresponds to their own preferences.

Choose soothing colours and motifs for your baby´s nursery. Dainty animals or natural motifs are perfectly suitable for the rooms of babies and small children. Soft pastel colours create a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere, in which you and your child can unwind.

The older your child gets, the topics it is interested in will become more differentiated and diverse. Even though your kid was previously interested in cute animals, they can just as well like cars or stars now. The decoration of the kid´s room should match the personality of your child, so it has their own, comfortable retreat.

When your child becomes a teenager, there will be the next change in decoration for their room. The wallpapers they adored when they were still a child, are not age-appropriate anymore. To preserve the feeling of a comfortable safe space that they still need sometimes, their room should be redecorated according tot her age and preferences. Subtle colours, patterns and motifs as well as photo wallpapers are a great decoration for your teenager´s room, that naturally is a little more »adult« than a child´s bedroom.
